Bits of Stock Rewards Module
Step 1: When you enter the application, you will first be prompted to select a stock. Upon selecting your desired stock, rewards will accumulate in the form of that stock shares at an indicated percentage rate.
Step 2: Scroll down to view the rewards history. If no rewards have been earned yet, this section will be empty.
Step 3: Scroll back up to find the threshold for redeeming rewards in your chosen stock, which is set at $5.
Bits of Stock Portfolio Module
Step 4: Check the Bits of Stock portfolio module.
Step 5: Currently, a brokerage account hasn't been opened yet. This is because the $5 threshold in rewards has not yet been reached. Only once rewards in the value of $5 are accumulated, you can open a brokerage account.
Bits of Stock Documents Module
Step 6: Navigate to the Bits of Stock documents module.
Step 7: Like in the portfolio module, it can be seen that no brokerage account is currently linked. Continue accumulating awards in your selected stock to reach the $5 threshold, and the option to open and link your brokerage will before available.
Brokerage Creation
Step 8: After accumulating a minimum of five dollars in stock rewards of your previously selected stock, navigate to the Bits of Stock Rewards page. Notice the "Redeem five dollars and two cents in Microsoft stock" option is now available.
Step 9: After accumulating the minimum value in stock rewards, you can now proceed with creating your brokerage. This can be done either by redeeming your selected stock in the rewards module, or by going to either the bits of stock portfolio or documents modules.
Both modules will display an option to create your brokerage in a pop-up window. Alternative, you can simply redeem your selected stock in the bits of stock rewards module.
Step 10: You can now begin creating your brokerage account by providing the desired information. Make sure to double check all the details along the way!
To open your brokerage at Bits of Stock, we'll need your legal name, contact information, tax information, permanent residential address and financial information. You are also welcome to add any primary or secondary beneficiaries to your brokerage account.
Once you have filled out the desired information, all that is left to do is to confirm your agreement to our terms and conditions. And, just like that, when you click to submit all the details, you brokerage account will be created! You are now ready to use your brokerage to collect rewards in fractional shares and begin your investment journey.
